"drogo's dream" by Bonaventure Saptel
drogos dream
drogo wore his rosary round his neck and
drogo read his bible every day and
drogo felt so much he had to be alone that
drogo came to crescent street and swept the sidewalks
with his dress each night (slits up high
revealed his slender thighs) and drogo read Wilde each night
and wrote his diary that music never seemed like much
a part of him and maybe that was why he never danced
alone and every time he dreams he sees a fire burning
in his mouth, his parents grinning wickedly
from "dying by pieces and other rituals"
